The Important Things in Life

I write this post with a heavy heart. Jaye and I spent the afternoon with one of my closest friends in the whole world, Chuck Schwink , and his family. Chuck has bravely battled Stage IV colon cancer for over a year. And, while it seems that the disease is winning the battle, Chuck's courage and dignity are winning the war and they inspire me every minute of every day. What I know for sure is that the important things in life are not what car you drive, how big your house is, or how much money you can accumulate. Those things are fleeting and have no real meaning. The personal relationships you develop and the impact you have on other's lives, those are the real keys to life and happiness. Please keep Chuck and his family in your prayers.

Please Forward e-mail Addresses

Calling All Dellorso Family Members

In memory of Frank and Michaelina, beloved parents and grandparents, I have been contemplating a better way for the Dellorso Family to stay in touch and up to date with each other from the distant lands where we have all landed. While leaving the nest of Western Pennsylvania is not unigue to my generation, Joe & Lolly and Pat & Don did it many years before us, I think ours is the first where it is the norm rather than the exception. So, while I am certain that we all will never live in the same town, I have decided to try and give us, and more importantly our children, a little richer taste of our family and home. So I encourage you to particpate and contribute. I don't have everyone's e-mail address, so if you please feel free to forward this info or my e-mail, c_dellorso@cox.net, on to them.

I hope this little experiment can bring us all a little closer together.
