Christmas 2010 News

Going green for the 2010 Dellorso Family Christmas Letter!!

2010 was good year for the Dellorso Brood. I'll start out with a recap of the year for each of the children.

What a big year for Erin, she started the year as a senior at Broadneck HS, and ends it as freshman at the University of San Diego. In between there were many exciting times. Prom, Graduation with Honors, last high school soccer game as captain of the team, all too much for a father's weak heart. Especially when his baby girl is going to college 3,000 miles away. She had a part in the Broadneck School production of "Fame." She carried that creative talent into San Diego and was the only freshman to earn a part in the University production of " Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead." If you weren't sure, yes, she is a theater major at USD. No surprises, she is loving San Diego and doing very well in school. She was home for a few days at Thanksgiving, and we are happy to have her home for almost a month over the Holiday break.

Luke started the year engrossed in soccer and ended the year the same way. He began 2010 by earning a spot on the Maryland Olympic Development Team, and mid year added to that by being selected as a member of the Region 1 Olympic Development Pool. Region 1 is made up of all the states north of NC and east of PA and WV. In between, we attended many games for his travel and high school teams. More importantly, he has maintained his high level of academic achievement. Earning straight A's freshman year and first semester of his Sophomore year.

Not to be outdone by her older siblings, Samaria had a banner 2010. As she completed 2nd grade, she tested into the Advanced Academic Program (formerly gifted and talented) for 3rd grade and has a great fall semester in AAP. She earned a spot on the Braddock Road Youth Club U9 girls soccer team. Her team had a stellar fall season and she loves her team and the competition. We are all excited about her latest endeavour, a part in the Aldersgate Community Children's Theater production of "Bugsy Malone Jr." This is her first play and while rehearsals are frequent and long she is loving it!!! We hope anyone who lives in the area, will come see the production.
