As we close the books on 2010, I give thanks for all that we have been blessed with in this life. We'll usher in 2011 the same way we did 2010, at the beach with our dear friends the Frios. The only difference...10 inches of snow on the ground in Rehoboth Beach, DE. The dogs, Midnight and Cookie, had an added treat to their New Years Eve walk on the beach...snow...those two were in heaven.
Time moves way too fast...seems like we were just here celebrating last December 31st. As I take some time to reflect on 2010, I realize just how blessed we are as a family. Jaye finished a great year at her company Snyder Cohen, a local DC accounting firm, with a move to new office space just before Thanksgiving. Jaye was the lead on this project and WOW, what a job she did. We did a family visit, off hours, over Thanksgiving weekend, and I have to say, it was amazing. Her hard work on this project earned her "Employee of the Year." I am so proud of my wife, my "better half," she does it all...Mom, Wife, Professional...I love this woman.
Time moving way too fast? Yes, we got a real does of that this year. Erin of to college, Luke getting taller than both Jaye and I, and Samaria not far behind, 8 going on 18. I already posted the accomplishments of these three wonderful children, so I won't rehash. But, what I will say, is that what makes proud of these three is not their accomplishments, but the truly wonderful young people they have become. Loving, caring, smart, I could go on forever.
Frank and Vida, thanks for all your support and love. You are the greatest parents, and as the kids would tell the world, the greatest Grandparents!!! We love you!!!
I can't close out this post without mentioning our friends. We are blessed with the best friends in the world. The Frios...you tried to move away...but we didn't let you escape. Thanks for being there for us..we love you guys!!! The Conleys..we don't see you all as much as we would like, but we always know we are there for each other. The Macks...We love you guys...it was great spending the Holidays with you guys!!!
As we leave 2010 and enter 2011, we wish all those in our lives...A Very Happy New Year!!!
